Pétanque is a family bowls game where gender, age and physical prowess have very little impact on success. Prospect Pétanque Inc. is a friendly club - we provide a warm welcome to visitors and new members. Come and try pétanque any time.

History

• We held our foundation meeting on 18th February 1996 and the Club was officially opened by City of Prospect Mayor Annette Eiffe on 21st April 1996.
• Our clubrooms, originally used by the (now defunct) Prospect Gardens Women's Bowling Club (click here to view their Honour Boards) , have been extensively upgraded.
• We have beautiful gardens, four grades of piste and a very pleasant area where members can bring family and guests to enjoy a game and/or a picnic/BBQ.
• The Club has approximately 80 members.
• Our spacious licensed and air-conditioned clubrooms, allow us to cater for 100 people.
• The club boasts lighting for evening play - essential for training on those cold winter nights - but a wonderful attraction on balmy summer evenings.

Training

• We hold training sessions on both Wednesday evenings (6:30 - 10:00pm) and Saturday afternoons when no official competition is being held (4:00 - 6:00pm).
• On the 1st Wenesday of each month at 7pm we hold what we call 'The Super Melee'...             -it's a 'hoot'
  
• Come along and enjoy a social game.
• Individual coaching sessions can be arranged for those who wish to learn more about the game and improve their performance.

Hiring Prospect Pétanque Club Facilities
Suitable for special events, family celebrations and corporate functions

RATE PER HOUR          $60

• Fully stocked bar at very competitive prices
• Member(s) of the club providing bar service and support to run the function
• Use of pétanque equipment and guidance to play the game
• Access to kitchen facilities and BBQ
• Air conditioned facilities
• Chairs and tables to seat 100 people
• Use of DVD/TV/CD System

• Fees apply if the function is outside of the Club’s licensed times and an application for an extension is needed.
• A setting up and pulling down fee of $25 an hour applies
• Additional facilities fees may also apply

Please Note!   NO Karaoke is permitted.

• Saturday:        1.00pm – 11.00pm
• Sunday:           9.00am –   9.00pm
• Wednesday:    6.00pm – 10.00pm
• Friday:           11.00am – 10.00pm
